Overseas Students Notice

This is a reminder that your student visa only entitles you to work a maximum of 20 hours per week during term time.

This is in addition to the max 15-20 guided learning work placement hours per week if you are a pre PBS NVQ student or 15 hours if you are a PBS BTEC student.
 

Students who have obtained a PBS Visa after the 3rd March 2010 may have different restrictions applied to the working hours which they can undertake.

In accordance with current UKBA guidance the above restrictions do not apply during holiday periods.

Your 2009/2010 academic year timetable details your term and holiday time and your workshop session schedule.

Working in excess of these hours is a serious breach of your visa restrictions. Any students we find to be exceeding these hours will be reported to the UK Border Agency which may result in their removal from the UK and return to their country of origin.

We will be completing checks with your managers on each visit to ensure all of our students are complying with this requirement.
