The National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) in Health and Social Care are available at different levels to support career progression and to meet the national minimum standards as regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Anyone in a position of care within a residential home, who has completed an NVQ in care at the previous level, or is entering thfe profession in a senior caring role may want to study for an NVQ 4 in Health and Social Care to work effectively as a Manager Of a care team.
The NVQ 4 in Health and Social Care qualification is made up of units that specify the knowledge and performance required of service providers to affect care within their roles. The NVQ 4 in Care is focused toward the management and delivery of care with the support of others, and will be accountable in the area of practise. It is designed to teach the techniques involved in management and delivery of physical, emotional or enabling care to service users. NVQ 4 in care Candidates are expected to have complete autonomy and will be required to make decisions within boundaries and limits agreed with their team.
The NVQ 4 in care units are made up of mandatory, optional and additional units. You will need to achieve a combination of these in order to achieve your 4 NVQ in care award.
