Course Content

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is made up of 6 units. All candidates must complete all mandatory units, then select an additional 2 units from the optional modules.

National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) in Health and Social Care are available at different levels to support career progression and to meet the national minimum standards as regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Anyone working as a carer within a care setting will want to obtain a Level 2 NVQ in Health and Social Care to work effectively as a member of a care team. The NVQ 2 Health and Social Care qualification is made up of units that specify the knowledge and performance required of service providers to affect care within their roles.

The focus of the NVQ 2 in Care, centres around person enabled care, in the development and maintenance of individual independence, in addition to direct care delivery to the patients.

In addition to the standard course fee, Wave operate an easy payment plan to help spread the cost of the NVQ2 in care programme for you. An initial administration fee of £200 and deposit of £150 including VAT is made, followed by 4 monthly instalments of £152.29 including VAT.

Learning Outcomes
