Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults
This new course will enable the care worker to explore the legislation, policy and procedures that relate to the safeguarding of vulnerable people.

Medication Awareness
This newly revised course provides the underpinning knowledge required for residential and domiciliary care workers to: (1) support service users who are self-medicating;
and (2) administer medication within their care setting (referred too as level 1 and level 2 training in the CQC Guidance to Inspectors).

Epilepsy Awareness
This course promotes a person centred approach towards the management of seizures and is based on advice received from the National Society for Epilepsy.

This course introduces the residential and domiciliary care worker to the principles of infection control.
The content includes: bacteria and viruses; modes of spread; people at risk; standard precautions, hand hygiene, dress code; disposal of waste; blood spillages; collecting and handling specimens; disinfection and sterilization.

Emergency First Aid Awareness
The Health and Safety Executive define the appointed person as an individual who can take charge when someone is injured or ill, including calling an ambulance if required;
and look after the first aid equipment.
